DELTA CP URGES OFFICERS TO MAINTAIN DISCIPLINE AND PROFESSIONALISM
The Commissioner of Police in Delta State has charged officers to uphold discipline and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct in the line of duty.
Speaking during a recent address to personnel, the CP emphasized that professionalism, integrity, and accountability are essential to effective policing and public trust. He noted that officers must remain committed to ethical behavior, especially in their interactions with members of the public.
The directive comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the image and performance of the Nigeria Police Force. According to the CP, discipline within the force is non-negotiable and plays a critical role in maintaining law and order across the state.
He also warned against misconduct, abuse of power, and any actions that could tarnish the reputation of the force. Officers were reminded that their conduct, both on and off duty, reflects directly on the institution.
In addition, the police leadership reaffirmed its commitment to continuous training and capacity building, ensuring that officers are equipped with the skills needed to handle modern policing challenges.
Residents have often called for more professionalism and accountability from security agencies, and this renewed focus is seen as a step in the right direction.
In simple terms, the message is clear: disciplined and professional officers are key to safer communities and stronger public confidence in law enforcement.
