DELTA MAN DIES IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT HOURS AFTER SURVIVING KIDNAP ATTEMPT
Tragedy struck in Delta State as a man identified simply as Ability lost his life in a motorcycle accident, just hours after narrowly escaping a kidnapping attempt at his home.
Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu shared the heartbreaking news on his Instagram page on Tuesday, revealing the sequence of events that led to Ability's untimely death.
According to Gwamnishu, armed kidnappers had stormed Ability's residence but were thwarted by the quick actions of his alert gateman. Miraculously, Ability survived the attack — which allegedly involved more than 17 bullets — and expressed his gratitude to those who stood by him.
In a video accompanying the post, Ability is seen lying motionless in a casket. Gwamnishu emotionally recounted their last interaction earlier that day:
“This morning, we visited his home. Ability offered me a bottle of Four Cousins wine and thanked me for the work I do. Later in the evening, he took a motorcycle to visit his wife — that’s when the accident happened. He didn’t survive.”
Struggling with the sudden loss, Gwamnishu added:
“What kind of life is this? Just yesterday, he escaped death from armed kidnappers, and today, he’s gone. Seeing such a strong man in a casket is devastating.”
A video clip of the aftermath was shared with the post.
