Popular Nigerian music stars Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, and his wife, Simi, have welcomed twins, delighting fans across the country.

The award-winning singer confirmed the joyful news on his Snapchat story on Wednesday, sharing that their family had grown. “Asked God for another child and He blessed me double,” Simi wrote.

Though the couple has not revealed the gender of the newborns, the announcement has already sparked an outpouring of congratulations from admirers, fellow celebrities, and colleagues in the music industry.

Speculation about a new addition began in December when Simi shared an Instagram video with the caption, “From my baby, for my babies.” The clip, which highlighted her baby bump, fueled excitement about another child on the way.

This latest blessing comes just weeks after Simi shared a scene from Adekunle Gold’s recently released music video, My Love is the Same, further igniting fan enthusiasm.

Adekunle Gold and Simi, who married in 2019 after years of friendship and musical collaboration, continue to be one of Nigeria’s most celebrated entertainment power couples. Both artists were previously signed to X3M Music before rising to widespread acclaim.

The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare Kosoko, affectionately called Deja, in May 2020.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
