Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has revealed that Eberechi Eze has played his final game for the club ahead of his move to Arsenal.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder was left out of Palace’s squad in their 1-0 Europa Conference League playoff win over Fredrikstad on Thursday night, where Jean-Philippe Mateta scored the decisive goal at Selhurst Park.

Although there were earlier suggestions that Eze could feature and bid farewell to Palace fans, the player reportedly told Glasner that he was “not well enough to play.”

Speaking after the match, Glasner made it clear that Eze’s time at the club is over:

“I think that Eberechi Eze won’t play for Crystal Palace anymore. Wishing him all the best at his new club.”

Eze is set to complete a £67.5m transfer to Arsenal, making him the Gunners’ third most expensive signing in history, behind Declan Rice and Nicolas Pepe.

For Palace fans, it marks the end of an era for a player who has been their creative spark, while for Arsenal supporters, excitement builds as Eze prepares to bring his flair and goals to the Emirates.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
