EDO AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO GEN BRAIMAH’S CHILDREN
The Edo State Government has approved full educational scholarships for the three children of late Brigadier-General Oseni Omoh Braimah, who died in active service during an attack in Borno State.
Governor Monday Okpebholo approved the scholarships, which will cover the children’s education from their current levels through to university.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Patrick Akhere, the gesture is part of the state’s commitment to supporting families of fallen military personnel.
The beneficiaries include the late general’s three children, who are currently studying at different levels in Abuja-based schools and universities.
The governor described the initiative as a moral obligation and a way of honouring the sacrifice of security personnel who die in service to the nation.
He added that no child of an Edo hero should be denied access to education, stressing that the programme aligns with the state’s human capital development agenda.
