EFCC CHAIRMAN CALLS ON MUSLIMS TO UPHOLD INTEGRITY AND JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION
The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has urged Nigerian Muslims to embody the values of love, sacrifice, truthfulness, and integrity — qualities attributed to Allah — as they mark this year’s Eid al-Adha.
Delivering his goodwill message on Thursday night in Abuja, Olukoyede encouraged Muslims to view the festive period as a moment for both celebration and thoughtful reflection on the shared national duty to combat corruption.
“As we observe Eid al-Adha, our commitment to tackling corruption must remain strong. We have all it takes to defeat economic and financial crimes. Nigeria’s transformation depends on our united resolve,” he stated.
He stressed that the fight against corruption is a national obligation that demands the involvement of all citizens, emphasizing that real progress can only be achieved through genuine and sustained national development efforts.
Olukoyede also thanked President Bola Tinubu for what he described as the unwavering political support and conducive environment that have empowered the Commission’s operations.
“We must commend the President. Without political will, the battle against corruption cannot succeed,” he noted.
He further called on Muslims to consider meaningful ways to contribute to Nigeria’s growth, stating that lasting change stems from consistent acts of integrity and patriotic commitment.
