The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared popular real estate mogul and engineer, Olasijibomi Suji Ogundele, widely known as Sujimoto, wanted for alleged money laundering and diversion of funds.

Ogundele is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sujimoto Luxury Construction Limited, a company famed for building some of Nigeria’s most luxurious and state-of-the-art properties.

In a public notice issued on Thursday, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale said Ogundele is being sought over an ongoing investigation.

The notice, tagged “Wanted”, reads:

“The public is hereby notified that Olasijibomi Suji Ogundele of Sujimoto Luxury Construction Limited is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of diversion of funds and money laundering.

Ogundele is a 44-year-old indigene of Ori-Ade Local Government of Osun State, and his last known address is G29, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos State.

Anybody with useful information as to his whereabouts should please contact the Commission at any of its zonal offices nationwide, call 08093322644, send an email to info@efcc.gov.ng, or report to the nearest police station.”

The development has sparked widespread reactions, given Sujimoto’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s most visible luxury property developers.
