EFCC NABS 19 SUSPECTED INTERNET FRAUDSTERS IN NIGER STATE

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Kaduna Zonal Directorate, has apprehended 19 individuals over alleged involvement in internet fraud in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State.
The suspects, comprising 18 males and one female, were arrested on Friday, September 19, 2025, following credible intelligence linking them to cybercrime operations.
Items recovered during the raid included a Honda Civic car, 33 mobile phones, five laptops, a power generator, three Bluetooth speakers, a white calabash, and other fetish objects, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama.
The EFCC stated that the suspects will be arraigned in court upon the completion of investigations.
