The Engineer Kayode Ojo Campaign Organisation in Ekiti State has reconstituted its consultative committee as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Chairman of the committee, Adebayo Morakinyo, said the move is aimed at securing not less than 90 per cent of votes in Ekiti State for Tinubu’s re-election bid.

He made the statement during the inauguration of the committee in Ado Ekiti, according to a release by the campaign organisation’s spokesperson, Femi Awojobi.

The committee includes Ilesanmi Oguntuase as Secretary, Mrs Bose Yakubu as Treasurer, and Mr Ajayi Daramola as Organising Secretary. It will operate under the guidance of the EKO Movement Elders Advisory Committee, chaired by Prof Afolabi Popoola.

Morakinyo said the group would intensify grassroots engagement by highlighting Tinubu’s achievements under the Renewed Hope Agenda, especially at the community level.

He added that the mobilisation strategy would include radio programmes, empowerment initiatives, sensitisation campaigns, and direct voter engagement across the state.

According to him, President Tinubu’s policies in education, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, power, and economic recovery must be communicated effectively to the electorate.

“The President must not get less than 90 per cent of total votes during the 2027 general elections in Ekiti State,” he said, expressing confidence that the target is achievable through sustained mobilisation.

The group also urged eligible voters yet to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards to participate in the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission voter registration exercise.

The campaign organisation reaffirmed its commitment to delivering strong electoral support for President Tinubu in the coming elections.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
