The Epic Show 2025, organised by Fashions Finest Africa, has wrapped up in grand style, spotlighting Africa’s freshest fashion talents while tackling serious issues facing the industry.

Held on July 5th and 6th at The Podium in Lekki, Lagos, the two-day event brought together designers, culture leaders, fashion enthusiasts, and key industry players — all driven by a shared goal to shape a stronger future for African fashion.

Beyond the stunning runway moments, the event kicked off with powerful panel discussions that addressed some of the fashion industry’s most pressing challenges. Experts and veterans like Mai Atafo, The Style Infidel, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Jide Sipe, Dr. Yetty Ogunnubi, Abubakar Sanusi, Isaac John, Mabel Adeteye, Chidubem Ejezie, and Dayo Nupo shared ideas on topics ranging from funding and fashion business literacy to sustainability and climate impacts.

The conversations made one thing clear: Africa’s creative talent is unmatched, but for the industry to truly thrive, there needs to be solid business structures and more opportunities that turn raw talent into long-term success.

In the end, Epic Show 2025 wasn’t just a showcase of beautiful designs — it was a call to action to build an African fashion industry that’s not only creative but also economically and environmentally sustainable.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
