Fulham winger Samuel Chukwueze believes his team deserved more from their dramatic 5–4 defeat to Manchester City at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.

In what became one of the most thrilling matches of the Premier League season, Fulham found themselves trailing 5–1, but mounted an incredible late surge. The Whites scored three quick goals to put pressure on Pep Guardiola’s side and set up a tense finish.

Chukwueze, who came off the bench, played a vital role in the fightback by scoring two second-half goals for Marco Silva’s men. Fulham continued to create chances and looked capable of securing at least a point, but ultimately fell short.

Reflecting on the loss, Chukwueze admitted it was a tough one to swallow.

“The chances we created in the second half were almost there.
It was a difficult one to take because we wanted three wins in a row and it didn’t happen, but we’ll keep our heads up,” he told the club’s official website.

The Nigerian winger praised the team’s fighting spirit and expressed confidence that Fulham will bounce back quickly.

“We fought until the last minute, and on Sunday against Crystal Palace we’re going to give everything for the fans,” he added.

Fulham now shift their focus to their upcoming Premier League clash against Crystal Palace, where they will be aiming to return to winning ways.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
