Ola Aina is close to finalizing a new long-term contract with Nottingham Forest.

The club has already activated the one-year extension clause in his current deal, ensuring he stays at the City Ground through the 2025/26 season.

However, Forest are eager to secure his services for an extended period, with negotiations reportedly progressing smoothly. A final agreement is considered a matter of time.

Aina joined Forest in 2023 on a free transfer after leaving Italian side Torino.

The 28-year-old has become a vital part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, making 35 Premier League appearances last season, scoring twice and providing one assist.
