Taiwo Awoniyi has rejoined full training with Nottingham Forest following his recovery from an abdominal injury.

The Nigerian forward missed the final two matches of the 2024/25 Premier League season due to the injury, which required him to undergo two surgeries.

The 27-year-old was present at the City Ground for Forest’s season-ending clash against Chelsea after being discharged from the hospital.

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is expected to reintegrate Awoniyi into the squad gradually.
