Philip Ojedayo, a previously convicted individual, has been re-arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS) for allegedly vandalizing iron fencing materials at a park in the Ketu area of Lagos.

The RRS disclosed the incident in a statement shared via its official Facebook page on Thursday.

According to the statement, Ojedayo was apprehended around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday during a routine night patrol in the Ojota and Ketu areas.

The statement read:
"At about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the Lagos Rapid Response Squad team on night patrol in Ojota and Ketu arrested a suspected vandal, Philip Ojedayo, aged 27. He was found with an iron rod used in fencing a park. Ojedayo is a repeat offender who has been in and out of Kirikiri Correctional Centre three times. He was most recently released in February 2025. He is scheduled to appear in court today (Thursday)."

In a separate incident, another ex-convict, Olayinka Oluwaseyi, was arrested by officers from the Ketu Division of the Lagos State Police Command for an attempted robbery on Mile 2 Bridge.

According to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the 28-year-old suspect was caught around 1:30 a.m. on May 13, 2025, while trying to rob a motorist. His accomplice reportedly fled the scene.
