EX-JIGAWA APC CHAIRMAN RESIGNS FROM PARTY
A former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State, Ado Sani Kiri, has officially resigned from the party.
Kiri, who also served as a member of the House of Representatives representing Ringim/Taura Federal Constituency from 2019 to 2023, announced his decision in a resignation letter dated March 30, 2026, addressed to his ward chairman.
In the letter, he said the move followed “careful consideration,” adding that it was time for him to step away from party activities. He also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the party’s growth during his time as a member and pioneer chairman in the state.
Notably, Kiri did not state any plans to join another political party, leaving his next political move uncertain. His decision has already sparked reactions in political circles, given his influential role in building the APC’s structure in Jigawa State, especially ahead of the 2015 general elections.
Observers say his exit could have implications for the party’s internal cohesion and political strength in the state as future elections approach.
