EX-SSG WALI EMERGES YOBE APC 2027 GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE
Former Secretary to the Yobe State Government, Hon. Bindow Wali, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary and emerged as the party’s candidate for the 2027 election.
Wali secured a decisive victory at the primary election held on Thursday in Damaturu. He polled the highest number of votes among all aspirants, comfortably defeating his closest rivals.
Announcing the result, the APC Primary Election Committee declared Hon. Bindow Wali as the winner and official flagbearer of the party for the 2027 governorship race.
In his victory speech, Wali thanked APC delegates and party leaders for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to work towards consolidating the achievements of the current administration while addressing key challenges facing the state, particularly in education, healthcare, agriculture, and youth empowerment.
Hon. Bindow Wali served as Secretary to the State Government under Governor Mai Mala Buni. He is considered a loyal and experienced politician with deep knowledge of governance in Yobe State.
Party stakeholders have welcomed his emergence, describing him as a unifying figure capable of leading the APC to victory in 2027. The party currently controls Yobe State and is determined to retain power.
