The summit, themed “Making Nigeria a Global Food Destination,” aims to underscore the importance of celebrating Nigeria’s culinary diversity while harnessing modern agricultural technologies to spur industry advancement. Adebakin highlighted the critical need for collaboration to unlock the full potential of Nigeria’s food industry, facilitating seamless connections between producers and consumers.
Scheduled for March 21, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, the summit promises an engaging experience for all participants. It will feature expert-led discussions covering vital industry topics, including food technology, business scalability, and supply chain enhancements. Attendees will also enjoy live cooking demonstrations and masterclasses from top Nigerian chefs specializing in molecular gastronomy, showcasing innovative ways to elevate Nigerian cuisine on the global stage.
A dedicated exhibition zone will serve as a vibrant marketplace for food tech startups, agricultural suppliers, and culinary service providers. Additionally, a business clinic will offer invaluable consultation services in finance, branding, human resources, legal matters, and tax advisory for food entrepreneurs. The eagerly anticipated Pitch-a-Ton competition will give emerging food business owners the chance to secure grants, mentorship, and investment to accelerate their ventures.

Beyond celebrating Nigeria’s rich food culture, the summit will confront pressing challenges within the industry. Adeyemi noted that discussions will focus on fortifying the food supply chain to reduce waste and enhance market access. “We are committed to promoting direct engagement between farmers and business owners, ensuring that production and distribution processes are efficient and effective,” she added.
