EXPOSE TERRORISM SPONSORS NOW: AKPABIO’S STRONG CALL FOR ACTION
In a bold and timely statement, Senate President Godswill Akpabio has declared that those secretly funding and sponsoring terrorism, kidnappings, and violent attacks in Nigeria must be exposed no matter who they are or where they hide.
Speaking through his media office, Akpabio urged all Nigerians to intensify prayers so that the “evil doers and their sponsors” are unmasked. He made it crystal clear: whether the sponsors are inside government or outside, they must face justice.
No Safe Haven for Sponsors
“We must continue praying so that the evil doers and their sponsors shall be exposed in Jesus’ Name,” Akpabio said. “If they are in government, they shall be exposed. If they are outside government, they shall be exposed... Those sponsoring it, whether politically motivated or not, may they never have peace until they are defeated.”
This strong message comes as insecurity continues to plague many parts of the country. From Boko Haram activities in the Northeast to banditry, kidnapping, and other violent crimes, ordinary Nigerians bear the brunt while faceless individuals profit from the chaos.
Akpabio’s statement serves as both a spiritual appeal and a firm warning. By calling for the exposure of sponsors especially those who may be hiding in positions of power he is sending a signal that no one is above the law when it comes to national security.
Terrorism and its funding thrive in darkness. Exposing the financiers would deal a major blow to these networks, dry up their resources, and make it harder for insurgents and criminals to operate.
Families across the country live in fear afraid to travel, send children to school, or farm their lands. Every time a sponsor is protected or ignored, more lives are destroyed. Akpabio’s position reminds us that defeating terrorism requires not just military operations, but also intelligence, accountability, and the courage to name and shame those who enable violence for personal or political gain.
As citizens, we must support genuine efforts to root out these sponsors. Prayers are powerful, but they must be matched with action: stronger institutions, transparent investigations, and justice that spares no one.
