FAAN’S CHALLENGES ARE FUNDAMENTAL, NOT GENDER-RELATED – KUKU
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has clarified that the challenges facing the agency are structural and operational rather than gender-related, following recent controversies.
FAAN spokesperson, Mrs. Henrietta Kuku, made the assertion while addressing concerns about leadership and management issues at the authority. “Our problems are fundamental – infrastructure, funding, and operational efficiency. They are not about gender,” she stated.
Kuku emphasised that the agency is focused on addressing core issues such as terminal upgrades, equipment modernisation, and service improvement to enhance the passenger experience. She called for support from all stakeholders to achieve lasting solutions.
The statement comes amid public debates about leadership appointments and performance at FAAN.
The authority has pledged to remain committed to transparency and continuous improvement in airport management.
