FALSE PREGNANCY RUMOUR WITH MR MACARONI SHATTERED ME – ACTRESS MOTUNDE SPEAKS OUT
Popular skit actress Omotunde Sogunle, better known as Motunde, has opened up about a difficult moment in her career when a false rumour nearly broke her spirit.
Motunde, widely loved for her role as the daughter of comedian Mr. Macaroni in his viral skits, revealed that she was once accused of being pregnant with her on-screen father and even terminating the pregnancy — a claim she described as both “shocking and impossible.”
“They said I got pregnant for my on-screen daddy – Mr. Macaroni – and that I aborted the pregnancy. I was shocked. When did that happen? It is not possible. Must there be such a thing between people in a working relationship? I was really devastated then,” she recounted in a recent interview.
The actress admitted that the rumour hit her hard at the time, but she has since found healing and now laughs about it with Mr. Macaroni himself.
She also shared one of the biggest lessons she has learned from working closely with the comedian: the power of silence.
“One of the things I have learned from Mr. Macaroni is to keep your silence for your own peace. The more you come out to counter false claims, the longer the matter drags and you will have to keep explaining,” she said.
Despite the painful experience, Motunde has continued to grow her fan base and resilience in the entertainment industry. The episode, she noted, has made her more careful in handling controversies and more determined to focus on her craft.
