FCMB HONOURED FOR DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY CONTRIBUTIONS
First City Monument Bank has received recognition from the Lagos Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association for its contributions to technology governance, cybersecurity, risk management and digital trust in Nigeria.
The award was presented to FCMB Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Yemisi Edun, during ISACA Lagos Chapter’s 30th anniversary celebration in Lagos on August 21, 2026.
The recognition also highlighted the partnership between FCMB and ISACA in promoting professional development, knowledge sharing and stronger technology standards in Nigeria.
Edun said effective governance, cybersecurity, risk management and assurance were becoming increasingly important as financial services continued to rely more heavily on technology.
She added that strong digital systems were essential to protecting customers, strengthening institutions and supporting sustainable economic growth.
ISACA Global Chief Executive Officer, Erik Prusch, also praised Nigeria’s technology and cybersecurity professionals, stressing the need for organisations to develop skilled workers capable of responding to emerging risks and technological changes.
The President of the ISACA Lagos Chapter, Justus Osuji, said the anniversary provided an opportunity to reflect on the chapter’s three decades of professional service and contributions to information systems auditing, cybersecurity, governance and emerging technology.
FCMB said it would continue investing in digital capabilities, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity and risk management as part of its efforts to provide secure and reliable financial services.
