FCT COURT BARS DNKI LEADERS FROM NEC EVENT, DECLARES BOARD RESOLUTIONS INVALID

A Federal Capital Territory court has suspended the scheduled National Executive Council (NEC) inauguration and leadership retreat of the Norsemen Club International (DNKI), directing security agencies to take action against those allegedly involved.

The injunction, issued on Friday by Justice George Basil Okwenna, restrains the defendants from presenting themselves as leaders of DNKI or conducting any NEC-related events pending the resolution of a substantive legal suit.

The court also instructed the police and other security agencies to act against anyone attempting to go ahead with the planned inauguration in Enugu.

Key Court Orders:

The first nine defendants are barred from presenting themselves as the International President or members of DNKI’s NEC and National Advisory Council (NAC).

Police are to investigate and prosecute any defendants participating in the scheduled leadership retreat from March 13–15, 2026.

Event venues are prohibited from hosting the retreat while investigations into alleged illegal activities are ongoing.

Any resolutions claiming to remove the Board of Trustees (BoT) are declared null and void pending the outcome of the legal proceedings.

The Board of Trustees of DNKI had approached security agencies after alleging that the defendants circulated a video falsely claiming the association engages in blood-sucking activities, contrary to the group’s norms and beliefs.

Some defendants reportedly ignored police invitations, prompting the court to authorize law enforcement to take necessary action.

Through an originating summons filed by the Board of Trustees, the plaintiffs are seeking, among other remedies, the nullification of the purported election that installed the individuals scheduled for inauguration, citing violations of the association’s constitution.

Previously, the Board had petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, requesting the arrest and prosecution of the defendants for circulating the video that misrepresented the association.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
