Presidential aide Daniel Bwala has criticised the Nigeria Democratic Congress over the composition of its National Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Reacting on X after the council was announced on Sunday, Bwala described the team as being “filled with content creators”.

He also alleged that the party had deliberately left out certain mainstream media personalities whom he accused of promoting its interests while presenting themselves as independent broadcasters. He did not identify the individuals in the remarks provided.

The NDC said its campaign council would oversee nationwide campaign activities and mobilise support for its candidates.

The party named its National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, as chairman, with presidential candidate Peter Obi serving as co-chairman.

National Chairman, Senator Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe, will serve as vice-chairman, while vice-presidential candidate Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was appointed co-vice-chairman.

The party’s National Secretary, Barrister Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, was named council secretary, with Mallam Ibrahim Hussain Abdulkarim serving as director-general.

Bwala’s comments represent his assessment of the council and allegations about the party’s media support.
