FirstBank has announced the launch of its first-ever private premium seating area at the Carnival Calabar & Festival 2025, which it proudly sponsors.
The bank revealed that the highlight of its sponsorship is a 500-seater premium bleacher, designed to offer comfort, safety, and an enhanced viewing experience for carnival attendees.
Olayinka Ijabiyi, Acting Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at FirstBank, said the carnival aligns with the bank’s First@Arts initiative, a platform supporting Nigeria’s creative arts ecosystem.
He stated, “We recognise the transformative power of the arts, including carnivals, in inspiring people and fostering national unity. Our investment in the Carnival Calabar & Festival underscores our commitment to preserving Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage through First@Arts.
“As part of this year’s sponsorship, we are introducing the first-ever private 500-seater premium bleacher to elevate the carnival experience. This exclusive seating is designed to provide exceptional comfort and an unforgettable viewing experience for attendees.”
Gabe Onah, Chairman of the Cross River State Carnival Calabar Commission, also praised FirstBank’s sponsorship, saying, “FirstBank’s involvement is a strong testament to private-sector support for culture and tourism. This partnership enhances the carnival’s overall quality and strengthens its global appeal.”
