FORMER IMMIGRATION BOSS DAVID PARRADANG FOUND DEAD IN ABUJA HOTEL ROOM AFTER LODGING WITH FEMALE GUEST
In a shocking development, David Shikfu Parradang, a former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, was found dead in an Abuja hotel room, hours after checking in with a female guest.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command confirmed the incident on Tuesday, dismissing earlier reports that Parradang had been kidnapped and murdered. According to a statement from the police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, the retired immigration chief arrived at Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, around 12:00 p.m. on March 3, 2025, driving a black Mercedes Benz and paying N22,000 for a one-night stay.
Shortly after checking in, he reportedly instructed hotel staff to escort a female guest to his room. She later left the premises around 4:00 p.m., after which Parradang was not seen again.
The alarm was raised when a military officer and friend of the deceased grew concerned about his whereabouts and traced him to the hotel. Upon arrival at 4:00 a.m. on March 4, 2025, the officer, accompanied by the hotel receptionist, found Parradang lifeless, seated in a chair inside his room.
Police were immediately alerted, and officers from Durumi Police Station arrived to secure the scene, document evidence, and initiate an investigation. His body was later transferred to the National Hospital, Abuja, for further examination.
In response to widespread speculation that Parradang was kidnapped and assassinated, police spokesperson Adeh urged the public to avoid spreading false or unverified information, emphasizing that the FCT Police Command is conducting a comprehensive investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
The sudden passing of David Parradang, who served in the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) for over 30 years, has left many in shock. His former colleagues and associates are already planning condolence visits to his family.
