FRANK LEBOEUF PREDICTS CHELSEA WILL EDGE BARCELONA 2-1 AT STAMFORD BRIDGE
Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has predicted a narrow victory for the Blues in tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash against Barcelona at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea, managed by Enzo Maresca, come into the game following a Premier League win over Burnley at the weekend, while Barcelona dominated Athletic Club 4-0 in LaLiga at Camp Nou.
Despite Barcelona’s impressive form, Leboeuf believes Chelsea will win 2-1 at home.
“Being positive, 2-1 to Chelsea,” Leboeuf told OLBG. “I see Barcelona playing the high line and that is insane. I mean, I don’t understand Hansi Flick and the way he plays. As a defender, I would refuse to play like that, put me on the bench, I don’t want to look like a fool.”
The former Chelsea star expressed concern over Barcelona’s defensive approach, suggesting that the team’s high defensive line could be risky against a strong attacking side like Chelsea.
Tonight’s clash promises to be a thrilling encounter, with both sides looking to secure vital points in the group stage of Europe’s elite competition.
