FRSC MOVES TO PROSECUTE POPULAR TIKTOKER PELLER AFTER CAR CRASH

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced plans to take legal action against popular Nigerian TikToker, Peller, after he was involved in a car crash.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, allegedly after Peller’s breakup with his girlfriend and fellow content creator, Jarvis. A video of the crash quickly circulated on social media, drawing widespread condemnation from netizens who called for the revocation of his driving license.

In response to the incident on Monday, the FRSC released a statement on X, directing its Lagos command to prosecute the TikTok star.

The Corps Marshal, Shehu Muhammed, urged entertainment stakeholders, including the Actor Guild of Nigeria (AGN), content creators, and entertainment associations, to advise their members on responsible road use.

Peller is to be prosecuted for “reckless driving, use of phone while driving, and distracted driving,” in line with existing traffic laws. The Corps emphasized that “fame does not confer immunity from the law, nor does it excuse dangerous behaviour on public roads.”

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
