GALATASARAY SET TO SIGN EDERSON AFTER SEALING €75M OSIMHEN DEAL
Turkish football giants Galatasaray are making bold moves this summer, with plans already underway to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson after finalizing a massive deal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
According to well-known Galatasaray journalist Yakup Çınar, the club is close to announcing Ederson as their next big signing. The move will follow the completion of a €75 million transfer for Osimhen from Napoli, which will be paid in two instalments — €40 million now and €35 million within a year.
Speaking on Yeni Açık YouTube channel, Çınar revealed that Galatasaray are leading the race to sign the Brazilian goalkeeper, who reportedly turned down a €25 million offer from Saudi Arabia due to family reasons.
“Ederson prefers to stay with his family and doesn’t fancy a move to Saudi Arabia,” Çınar explained. “His original wage demand from Galatasaray was €15 million, but that figure has now come down to around €10 million. The club is trying to negotiate it further to about €7-8 million.”
Talks are ongoing, led by a figure named Gardi, and both Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk and club president Dursun Özbek are said to be strongly backing the transfer.
If both deals go through, Galatasaray would not only secure one of Europe’s top strikers in Victor Osimhen but also bring in a Champions League-winning goalkeeper in Ederson, signaling their intent to compete at the highest level in European football.
Stay tuned as the Turkish champions prepare to shake up the summer transfer window!
