Manchester United legend Gary Neville has hailed Manchester City’s Gianluigi Donnarumma as the Premier League’s standout goalkeeper, ranking him above Liverpool’s Alisson Becker and Arsenal’s David Raya.

Speaking after Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with City, Neville described Donnarumma as an “absolute animal” who brings physical dominance and confidence to his team.

“You look at Donnarumma—he’s just big and commanding,” Neville said on his Sky Sports podcast. “When he comes out, attackers know they’re in for a clash. That presence alone makes him special.”

Neville admitted admiration for Alisson and respect for Raya but insisted he would never pick Raya ahead of Donnarumma or Alisson. “I love a massive goalkeeper,” he added. “Donnarumma makes saves, dominates his box, and stays positive. He’s already made a huge impact at City.”
