GERMAN DELEGATION VISITS LAGOS TO STRENGTHEN COOPERATION WITH NIGERIA

A German parliamentary delegation has visited Lagos to explore closer cooperation with Nigeria in renewable energy, vocational training and public health.

Leading the delegation, Dr Wolfgang Stefinger, chairman of the German Bundestag’s Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development, described Nigeria as an important partner for Germany.

Speaking during the visit on Monday, Stefinger said both countries could strengthen their relationship through deeper economic and development cooperation.

He identified renewable energy, practical skills training for young people and healthcare as priority areas for collaboration.

The visit forms part of efforts to build stronger ties and explore opportunities for both countries to work together in these sectors.
