GERMANY ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIPS FOR AFRICAN GRADUATES, POSTGRADUATES
The government of Germany has opened applications for its scholarship programme targeting graduates and postgraduates across Sub-Saharan Africa, offering opportunities for advanced study and research abroad.
The programme, announced via the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) on its official X handle, is part of efforts to strengthen international academic cooperation and educational exchange.
According to the announcement, the scholarship is open to eligible candidates from Sub-Saharan Africa seeking postgraduate and graduate-level study opportunities in Germany.
Applicants are advised to carefully follow the application guidelines, including submission of complete documentation as outlined in the official call.
The deadline for applications is 29 April 2026, and late submissions will not be accepted.
DAAD also noted that the programme is highly competitive and designed to support future leaders through academic training, research development, and international exposure.
The initiative forms part of Germany’s broader commitment to global education partnerships and capacity building across developing regions.
