YouTube has released its 2025 Nigeria Year-in-Review, highlighting the music videos, digital creators, and entertainment content that captured the most attention among Nigerian viewers this year. Among the biggest standouts are gospel singer Gaise Baba (real name Akinade “Gaise Baba” Ibuoye) and Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli.

According to a statement by Addy Awofisayo, YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, Gaise Baba led the music video category with his viral hit No Turning Back II (featuring Lawrence Oyor), which emerged as the most streamed Nigerian video on the platform for the year.

Released in mid-May, the music video amassed more than 41 million views within six months, rapidly gaining traction and widespread engagement across the country.
