GUARDIOLA CLEARS OUT MAN CITY SQUAD, TELLS SIX PLAYERS THEY CAN LEAVE
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, is set to overhaul his squad ahead of the new season, giving the green light for at least six players to find new clubs.
Among those reportedly on the way out are experienced stars John Stones and Ilkay Gundogan. According to The Athletic, 31-year-old Stones has been made available for transfer, while Gundogan could also depart just a year after returning to Manchester from Barcelona.
Midfielder Mateo Kovacic is another name being discussed as City look to trim their squad and maintain a lean, competitive team.
Also on the list of possible exits are young talents Nico O’Reilly, Claudio Echeverri, and Oscar Bobb. Guardiola is understood to prefer working with a tighter group of players, especially after City fell behind rivals Liverpool and Arsenal in the title race last season.
While more new signings could still arrive at the Etihad this summer, the focus is clearly on reshaping the squad—ensuring only those who fit Guardiola’s plans for the coming campaign remain.
City fans will now be watching closely to see who stays, who goes, and which fresh faces might come in to help reclaim the Premier League crown.
