GUARDIOLA TARGETS TRIPLE SIGNING FROM PREMIER LEAGUE RIVALS FOR MAN CITY REVAMP
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is set to reinforce his squad with three potential signings from Premier League rivals, as he looks to bolster the team ahead of the upcoming season.
City, who spent £180 million in January on four new additions—Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Vitor Reis—in an effort to turn around a disappointing campaign, ultimately finished third in the league without securing any silverware.
Guardiola’s top defensive target is Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri. According to The Athletic, while a transfer fee has yet to be finalized, negotiations are progressing well, and all parties are optimistic about reaching an agreement.
In midfield, Guardiola is eyeing Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White as a possible replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, who is believed to have played his final match for City.
The City boss is also interested in Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento as a long-term successor to former captain Kyle Walker, who is not expected to return to the Etihad Stadium following a loan spell at AC Milan. However, securing a deal with Newcastle may prove challenging.
Guardiola’s current recruitment strategy appears to focus on acquiring proven Premier League talent as he prepares to reshape his squad for a stronger title challenge next season.
