GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS REACTS AFTER BBNAIJA STAR QUEEN ATANG ROCKS BREAD-MADE OUTFIT AT AMVCA
Reality TV star Queen Atang has sparked massive reactions online after appearing at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in an unusual outfit designed with hundreds of loaves of bread.
The former Big Brother Naija housemate made a dramatic entrance on the AMVCA red carpet wearing a bread-themed costume reportedly created with 500 loaves, complete with a matching bread-inspired prop that immediately became one of the night’s most talked-about fashion moments.
The daring appearance quickly went viral across social media, dividing opinions among Nigerians.
While some users criticised the outfit and described it as excessive or wasteful, others praised Queen Atang for turning her business identity into a bold fashion statement and marketing strategy.
The conversation became even bigger after Guinness World Records appeared to notice the viral moment.
In the comment section of a video shared on Queen’s Instagram page, Guinness World Records reacted with a teasing remark that instantly caught attention online.
“Well, we do have a record for the largest cake dress … hmmm,” the organisation wrote.
The response fueled speculation among fans about whether the reality star could eventually attempt an official world record related to wearable food fashion.
Reacting to the comment, Queen responded playfully, writing: “Hello @guinnessworldrecords, I see you in the comment section.”
Before the event, the reality star had already hinted that the outfit was inspired by her entrepreneurial journey in the food industry.
“AMVCA 2026 ready. I come as an entrepreneur who runs a bread EMPIRE,” she wrote.
According to Guinness World Records, the current title for the world’s largest wearable cake dress weighs 131.15 kilograms and was achieved by Natasha Coline Kim Fah Lee Fokas of SweetyCakes GmbH in Bern, Switzerland, on January 15, 2023.
Queen Atang’s appearance has since become one of the most talked-about moments from the 2026 AMVCA, once again showing how celebrity fashion in Nigeria continues to blur the line between creativity, controversy, branding, and viral internet culture.
