HOUSE OF HORROR: ANAMBRA GOVERNMENT DEMOLISHES KIDNAPPERS’ DEN DISGUISED AS HOTEL WITH SHRINE AND 30 GRAVES
In a decisive move to combat insecurity, the Anambra State Government has demolished a hotel-turned-kidnappers’ den that operated under the guise of a hospitality business. The property, Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also known as "La Cruise Hotel," located in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area, was exposed as a hub for heinous criminal activities.
The hotel, situated along the bustling Onitsha-Owerri expressway, concealed a horrifying secret: a shrine and over 30 partitioned graves located on its top floor. Security operatives who led the demolition described the scene as chilling, citing evidence of ritualistic practices and the suspected torture of kidnapping victims.
This revelation sheds light on the alarming frequency of kidnapping incidents in the Oba axis, with the hotel allegedly serving as a strategic base for the perpetrators. The demolition was carried out in line with the Anambra State Homeland Security Law, aimed at eradicating criminal hideouts across the state.
Residents and passersby watched in shock as the building was reduced to rubble. Many expressed horror at the atrocities believed to have been committed within its walls, referring to it as a "house of death."
The Anambra State Government reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of its citizens, vowing to dismantle all criminal strongholds and make the state inhospitable for criminals.
Authorities have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to law enforcement agencies as efforts to secure the state intensify.
This demolition serves as a stern warning to criminals and a call to action for residents to support the government’s efforts to restore peace and security.
