HOW TO DOWNLOAD YOUR NIN SLIP FREE — NIMC
The National Identity Management Commission says Nigerians can download their official National Identification Number slips free of charge through the NINAuth mobile application.
The commission shared the steps on Wednesday, explaining that existing NIN holders can obtain the document on their phones without visiting an enrolment centre or paying an agent.
How to Download Your NIN Slip
- Download the NINAuth application from your phone’s official app store.
- Open the app.
- Tap “Do More with NINAuth.”
- Select “NIN Slip.”
- Complete the facial authentication process.
- Once verified, tap “Download NIN Slip” to generate and save the document.
According to NIMC, the downloaded slip is an official document that can be presented where proof of NIN is required.
The commission said the service aims to make accessing identity documents easier and reduce unnecessary visits to its offices.
The download option is for people who already have a NIN. Those seeking a number for the first time must complete enrolment at an NIMC centre, including submitting their personal information and undergoing biometric capture.
A NIN is an 11-digit identification number issued to Nigerians and eligible legal residents after successful registration.
