HUSBAND ESCAPES DEATH AS WIFE FACES ATTEMPTED MURDER ALLEGATION IN KATSINA

A man narrowly escaped death after allegedly being attacked by his wife in Katsina State, with the woman now facing charges of attempted murder.

According to police sources, the incident occurred in a family home in the state capital where the suspect allegedly used a sharp object to attack her husband during a domestic dispute. The victim sustained serious injuries but survived after receiving prompt medical attention.

Katsina State Police Command Spokesperson confirmed the arrest of the woman and said investigations are ongoing. “We are treating this as a serious case of domestic violence and attempted murder. The suspect will be charged to court once investigations are concluded,” the spokesperson stated.

Neighbours described the couple as having had frequent disagreements, with calls for greater intervention in domestic issues before they escalate. The victim is said to be recovering in a hospital.
