“I HAVEN’T BEEN HAPPY” – GEORGINA IBEH LOSES SAMSUNG FOLD AT MOVIE PREMIERE
Nollywood actress Georgina Ibeh expressed her disappointment after losing her Samsung fold phone during the premiere of Toyin Abraham’s latest movie.
Sharing her experience on Instagram, she admitted that she hadn’t been happy since the event but felt compelled to post videos to show how much she enjoyed the film.
Despite the mishap, Georgina praised Oversabi Aunty, describing it as an outstanding movie. She commended the cast for their performances and expressed admiration for the compelling storyline.
“OVER SABI AUNTY is a must-watch in every cinema. This movie is highly recommended. I must commend @toyin_abraham for delivering an exceptional piece. All the actors gave their best, and I was thoroughly impressed with the storyline, which evokes every emotion imaginable. You will laugh, cry, get angry, and in the end, feel fulfilled. I won’t give spoilers, but please, once it’s in cinemas, watch it and thank me later.
I had so much fun until someone stole my Samsung fold phone. I haven’t been happy since morning, but I had to share these videos so you can understand how much I love this movie.
If anyone attended the event and found a Samsung fold phone, please send me a DM. Thank you.”
Georgina’s experience follows similar incidents in the industry. Last year, actress Mercy Aigbe lost two phones under her assistant’s care at Iyabo Ojo’s movie premiere. During the event, Iyabo appealed for the return of the phones and even offered financial compensation for their recovery. Mercy later won the Best Dressed Female award at the premiere and was gifted half a million naira in recognition of her style.
Similarly, actress Angela Okorie shared her frustration after losing her Samsung phone at an event, questioning why theft still occurs in 2024 and expressing her anger toward the thief. Talent manager Soso Soberekon also made a generous offer after losing his phone at Israel DMW’s wedding, promising half a million naira or more to anyone who could help recover it.
