I STILL WON’T GREET SANWO-OLU" – COMEDIAN MACARONI CLAPS BACK AT CRITICS OVER GOVERNOR SNUB, CONDEMNS TRIBAL BIGOTRY
Popular Nigerian comedian and activist Debo Adedayo, widely known as Mr. Macaroni, has once again addressed backlash over his past decision to snub Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Taking to social media, the outspoken entertainer made it clear that he remains unfazed by the criticisms and will not bow to pressure.
"Since you people won’t stop harassing me, next time I see Sanwo-Olu, I still won’t greet him," Macaroni fired back at those calling him out.
The comedian, known for his bold stance on social issues, didn’t stop there. He took aim at what he described as a toxic culture of tribal bigotry being used as a political weapon, calling out individuals who exploit tribal sentiments to push personal agendas.
💬 Macaroni’s Strong Words on Tribalism & Political Manipulation
"It is disgraceful and a betrayal of whatever tribe you belong to, using the love and loyalty of the people for their tribes to settle political scores. These political slaves, when they lose credibility, start instigating tribal wars just to stay relevant."
In a scathing rebuke, Macaroni also criticized individuals who, despite regularly condemning politicians, secretly take bribes and switch allegiance for personal gain.
"Some people called out their state governors every day, then went behind closed doors to collect envelopes and become praise singers. It hurts them when they see that not everyone is for sale."
Despite facing relentless attacks for his activism, Macaroni vowed to stand by his principles, stating that he refuses to betray his conscience for approval.
"I do what I do because I strongly believe in it. Do I get tired of the constant attacks? Yes. But I won’t be part of your selfishness just because I want you to stop attacking me."
🔥 "Not Everyone Is for Sale" – Macaroni's Message to Nigerians 🔥
Encouraging Nigerians to see beyond political and tribal distractions, he praised citizens who continue to promote peace and unity.
"The success and prosperity of Nigeria shouldn’t be jeopardized for your greed. Some people desperately want others to sell out like them so they can have company in their shame. But while most will compromise, there will always be a few good men and women."
Macaroni’s response has sparked fresh debates online, with many hailing his courage while others continue to question his approach.
