Former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, has expressed her willingness to reconcile with music star Davido, nearly two years after their highly publicised online disagreement.

The rift began in October 2023 after Davido liked a post on X that described Phyna’s fans as “useless.” Reacting at the time, Phyna—while congratulating the singer on the birth of his twins with Chioma—questioned whether she had done anything to deserve such treatment.

Davido later responded that he did not know who Phyna was, a remark that sparked further backlash. In response, the reality TV star declared, “God knows me,” and unfollowed the singer on Instagram.

However, during a recent livestream, Phyna revealed that she is now open to settling the issue and even expressed interest in hosting Davido on a livestream.

Revisiting the controversy, Phyna said she is prepared to publicly apologise but stressed the need for clarity on what truly caused the fallout.

“If I have the opportunity to stream with Davido, I will take it. Yes, he is senior to me, and that’s normal. I’m ready to apologise to him, but before doing that, we need to understand where the problem really started.

“Baba Ibeji needs to explain if liking that comment was a mistake. He should share his side of the story because that ‘I don’t know you’ statement might have been misunderstood,” she said in Pidgin.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
