Popular TikTok personality, Peller, has publicly apologised following his arrest and detention by the Lagos State Police Command over an incident involving dangerous driving and an alleged suicide attempt.

In a video that has since circulated widely on social media, the content creator expressed deep remorse and appealed to Nigerians for forgiveness.
“I am sorry, Nigerians. Please, I’m very sorry. I will never do that again,” he said.
Peller also disclosed that he is currently receiving medical treatment, adding that he would return online after completing his medication.

The incident is reportedly linked to the recent breakup between Peller and his girlfriend, Jarvis. Jarvis had earlier confirmed the end of their relationship, citing Peller’s struggles with emotional control as a major factor behind her decision.

Confirming the arrest, the Lagos State Police Command stated that Peller’s actions were considered a deliberate attempt at self-harm and posed a serious risk to other road users.

According to police accounts, the incident occurred on Sunday, December 14, 2025, when Peller was allegedly livestreaming while driving recklessly. The act reportedly led to a serious accident along the Lekki–Epe Expressway in Lagos.

Authorities further disclosed that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a comprehensive investigation. Peller is expected to be arraigned in court once investigations are concluded.

Reacting to the development, the Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, cautioned social media influencers and digital content creators against promoting or displaying reckless behaviour online, stressing that such actions would attract strict legal consequences.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
