IMO POLICE BOSS HAILS ANTI-KIDNAPPING COMMANDER FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE
The fight against crime in Imo State has received a morale boost as the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, showered praise on the men and officers of the Command for their relentless efforts in tackling kidnapping and other criminal activities.
Speaking during the decoration ceremony of ACP Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa — the Commander of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Owerri — CP Danjuma described him as a shining example of dedication and bravery in the Force.
ACP Odeyeyiwa’s promotion, he explained, came in recognition of his remarkable operational successes that have drastically reduced incidents of kidnapping, organized crime, and terrorism in the state, making Imo safer for residents. His courage, strategic thinking, and ability to motivate his team have not gone unnoticed, earning him the prestigious Crime Buster of the Year award in both 2023 and 2024.
The event attracted top government officials, including the Chief of Staff (representing the Governor) and the Special Assistant on Monitoring and Compliance, as well as colleagues, friends, and family members who came to celebrate the milestone.
CP Danjuma stressed that ACP Odeyeyiwa’s achievement is proof that the Nigeria Police Force rewards merit, hard work, and integrity. He assured that the Command remains committed to fostering a culture where officers who deliver results are duly recognized and promoted.
In his acceptance speech, ACP Odeyeyiwa expressed deep gratitude to the police leadership and the Command for their confidence in him.
He vowed to continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity while acknowledging the support of his family, colleagues, and community in his journey.
