IRAN SAYS US NOT SERIOUS ABOUT PURSUING DIPLOMACY

Iran has accused the United States of lacking seriousness in ongoing diplomatic efforts, citing alleged violations of a recent ceasefire.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baqaei, said Washington’s actions do not reflect a genuine commitment to negotiations.

He pointed to what Iran described as a US attack on an Iranian cargo ship, a naval blockade on Iranian ports, and delays in implementing a ceasefire in Lebanon.

Tensions remain high after a regional conflict involving Israel, Iran, and the US reportedly escalated earlier this year.

Although fresh talks were reportedly proposed by US President Donald Trump in Pakistan, Iran said no decision had been made on attending.

Major unresolved issues include Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile and the status of the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
