IS COFFEE STILL SAFE FOR ME AT 65?

I

I’m 65 years old and would like to know if it’s still okay to drink coffee.

The good news is that drinking coffee in moderation can be part of a healthy lifestyle—even as you age. Coffee is packed with antioxidants and has been linked to various health benefits, such as sharper brain function, a faster metabolism, and a reduced risk of conditions like Parkinson’s disease, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.

For most people, enjoying 2 to 4 cups a day is considered safe. However, adding too much sugar or cream can reduce its health value. If you’re sensitive to caffeine or have specific medical concerns, it’s best to check with your doctor before making coffee a regular habit.
