ITF CHAIRMAN ALI KUMO CELEBRATED BY TINUBU AS HE TURNS 55

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Industrial Training Fund, Hamma Adama Ali Kumo, popularly known as Dattuwa, as he marks his 55th birthday.

In a birthday message, the President acknowledged Kumo’s contributions to national development and his service in public life, while wishing him continued good health, wisdom and fulfilment.

Tinubu also praised the ITF chairman’s leadership and commitment to the development of skills and human capital, areas that remain important to the Federal Government’s industrialisation and employment agenda.

Kumo was appointed chairman of the ITF Governing Board by President Tinubu in January 2025. His appointment was described at the time as recognition of his experience, loyalty and contributions to national development.

Since assuming the position, Kumo has been involved in discussions around strengthening vocational and technical training and expanding opportunities for Nigerians to acquire skills needed in the labour market.

The ITF has also become an important part of the Federal Government’s broader skills-development strategy. In July 2026, the National Council on Skills ratified the alignment of the ITF and other skills-development institutions with the administration’s industrialisation agenda.

The President’s birthday message adds to the recognition Kumo has received from political leaders and stakeholders since his appointment to the ITF board.

As he marks 55, Tinubu expressed his best wishes to the ITF chairman and prayed for continued success in his service to Nigeria.
