“IT’LL BE MY BABY” – SELENA GOMEZ STAYS HOPEFUL ABOUT MOTHERHOOD DESPITE HEALTH CHALLENGES
Pop star and actress Selena Gomez has opened up about her hopes of becoming a mother one day, despite facing medical challenges that make it unsafe for her to carry a child.
The 33-year-old revealed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she is keeping faith in alternative paths to motherhood such as surrogacy and adoption.
“I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me,” she shared.
Selena, who suffers from lupus, has previously explained that pregnancy could put her life at risk. Still, she remains optimistic.
“Having a child through surrogacy or adoption may look a little different, but I don’t care. It’ll be my baby.”
The singer, who got engaged to music producer Benny Blanco in December 2024, has often spoken about her love for family and her desire to raise children in the future. Blanco himself has expressed excitement about the possibility of starting a family with her.
For fans, Selena’s message is clear: despite health struggles, she is determined to embrace motherhood in her own way — and on her own terms.
