Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Tiwa Savage, has revealed that she has been celibate for the past three years.

The award-winning singer explained that her celibacy stems from being single since her last relationship ended. According to her, she only develops the urge for intimacy when she is truly in love.

Speaking during a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, Savage said:

“I have gone three years without sex. It is not something I really like or crazy about. I have to be in love to have the urge for sex. I have to be with someone for me to even think about it.

I don’t even have sex toys. Maybe I need to. Maybe people need to get me toys for my Christmas presents.”

The Somebody’s Son crooner also recently opened up about a traumatic experience she endured in a past relationship with a Nigerian public figure. She described it as toxic and “disrespectful,” revealing that her partner used the secrecy of their affair to cheat repeatedly.

Savage disclosed that she eventually walked away after enduring the infidelity for too long.
