Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has urged his teammates to stay positive and focused despite their heartbreaking 5–4 defeat to Manchester City at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.

Marco Silva’s men delivered one of their most spirited performances of the season, pushing the reigning champions to the edge but narrowly missing out on a deserved point.

Iwobi helped spark Fulham’s comeback by scoring the team’s second goal early in the second half. His fellow Nigerian international, Samuel Chukwueze, came off the bench to score twice, further fueling hopes of a dramatic upset.

Despite Fulham’s determination and impressive fightback, Manchester City managed to hold on and secure all three points.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Iwobi expressed disappointment but encouraged the squad to focus on the positives from the high-intensity encounter.

“I feel disappointed because we didn’t get anything out of the fighting spirit that we showed, but I think we have to take the positivity from the game,” he said.

Fulham will now shift their attention to their upcoming Premier League fixture as they prepare to face Crystal Palace away on Sunday.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
