JAMB OPENS 2026 UTME SLIP PRINTING, WARNS AGAINST FAKE UPDATES
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of examination slip printing for candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In a statement released on Thursday, the board urged candidates to visit its official website to download and print their examination slips ahead of the exercise.
According to JAMB, the slip contains essential details such as the examination venue, date, and time, and serves as a mandatory requirement for entry into the examination hall.
Candidates are required to log on to jamb.gov.ng and click on the “2026 Slip Printing” option to access and print their slips.
The announcement comes shortly after the board debunked a viral press release claiming that the 2026 UTME had been postponed. JAMB described the report as “malicious and fake” and advised candidates to ignore it.
The 2026 UTME is scheduled to take place from April 16 to April 25, 2026.
Ahead of the main examination, JAMB conducted a mock test on March 28, which experienced technical issues in some Computer-Based Test centres. Out of 224,597 registered candidates, 152,586 participated across 989 centres nationwide, while over 20 centres were delisted due to technical shortcomings.
The board also warned candidates to steer clear of fraudsters, particularly on WhatsApp, who claim to assist in boosting examination scores. It described such practices as “false and criminal,” adding that any candidate found involved risks having their registration cancelled or results withheld.
